Best-Fit Commercial Cleaning Robot Checklist for Buildings (2026)

Choose the robot only after the opening, the dock room and the floor surface are measured. Our pick, once those three fit a hard plate, is the CleaniBot C5. If the opening is 700 mm, the checklist points at the S55 Pro instead. The model match itself is the comparison. A facilities contract has a longer clause list on the contract page. This list is the building.

Disclosure. OrionStar publishes this page and sells CleaniBot. Figures are manufacturer-published or from the product manual, accessed 5 November 2026. We did not lab-test the other machines.

How to choose before the order

Seven checks, in this order. Stop at the first one that fails.

  1. Surface on that floor: hard, short pile under 5.5 mm, or something else. Something else is not a scrubber.
  2. Opening. C5 needs 800 mm. S55 Pro and Pudu CC1 Pro need 700 mm. Gausium Phantas needs 650 mm. Kärcher KIRA B 50 needs 900–1,000 mm. Tennant T16AMR needs 1.45 m.
  3. Climb. C5 is ≤2%. A steeper lobby ramp fails the C5.
  4. A room for the docking station, with water and drain if the machine is a C5. A charge-only dock does not satisfy a C5 line.
  5. People. An occupied corridor is a noise and a wet-floor problem, not a bigger tank.
  6. Floors. One map each, unless elevator integration is already a signed project.
  7. Certificate. Write the number the fact sheet actually prints. Do not copy Nilfisk’s CSA/ANSI C22.2 No. 336 onto a C5. The C5 manual has no named robotic certificate.

Our pick if the checks pass

C5 when the pass, the climb and the docking station all pass. S55 Pro when the pass is 700 mm or the carpet is short pile. Phantas when the quiet pass matters more than a workstation the specs page does not list. Avidbots Neo 2W, turn about 3.05 m and 75 dB(A), fails a corridor checklist. Pudu BG1 at about 344 kg fails a lobby checklist. LionsBot R3 Scrub Pro fails the pass check because the pass is not published. Brain Corp on a Tennant is a ride-on checklist, not this one.

Which robot for an office floor

Office means the checklist above, not a warehouse rate. 5,890 m²/h theoretical manual on the T16AMR does not pass check 2 in a 1,000 mm corridor. 2,000 m²/h covered on the BG1 does not pass the weight check.

What is not a check

A shop photo, a “best for offices” label, and a euro listing are not measurements. Price, lease price and payback are not on this page.

Safety on a shared route

The wet-floor owner is a named person. IEC 63327 and IEC 60335-2-72 are the machine standards. IEC 60529 is the IP code. Slips stay with the employer (HSE slips, and in the EU the OSH Framework Directive). The route stays off an accessible path (Access Board, chapter 4) and out of an exit (NFPA 101). 47 CFR Part 15 is the C5 radio claim, not a safety certificate.

Deployment and maintenance the checklist should name

Who teaches the empty floor. Who keeps the weekly check after the C5 station self-cleans. Which detergent: neutral or alkaline only on the C5. Those three lines belong on the order. They are not optional notes.

Frequently asked questions

What fails a C5 order most often?

No room for the docking station, a pass under 800 mm, or a climb over 2%.

Can the checklist accept Phantas without a dock?

Yes, if the buyer has read that the workstation is not on the specs page. The practical rate is 350–700 m²/h, not 1,188 m²/h.

Does one checklist cover a hospital or an airport?

No. Those buildings have their own constraints. This list is an office-style commercial building.

Where does Nilfisk fit?

When the file must name CSA/ANSI C22.2 No. 336. That sentence does not make the Liberty SC50 a 700 mm corridor machine. The published aisle turn is 1,592 mm.

Is there a price on the checklist?

No.
